"MiCrow Management" - "MiCrow Vision"

Many resonate with the "MiCrow Vision" at ASU, but the "MiCrow Management" technique is NOT working. It has resulted in faculty and staff being increasingly marginalized and demoralized. ASU is on a terrible trajectory downward because people charged with running the institution are too afraid to speak to power. A CEO/President who cannot hear negative comments or alternate visions from his associates/mgrs/faculty IS NOT A LEADER and will run the corpoation/institution into the ground.

"Rise of the Corporate University - ASU?

The 'corporatised university' is obliged to respond to demands for greater accountability in relation to their financial situation, their core functions of teaching, research and community service and to document and report on these and other government policy imperatives, such as equity, minority representation and ethical considerations. With this obvious make over and blatant touting from president Crow of ASU to 'The New American University', (which is obviously to "CORPORATISE' it.....WHY is the ABOR, media, politicians and public not asking for strict ACCOUNTABILTY through its transition???????

The Politics of Arizona Higher Education

A formula the Legislature has used to fund Arizona's public universities has created a disparity in the amounts of money spent per student at the University of Arizona and Arizona State University. For every student attending the University of Arizona in Tucson, state taxpayers spend roughly $2,000 more than they do for those enrolled at Arizona State.
There will be no “successful vision” until ASU gets its own Regents. These feelings are not unique - they pertain, in a greater or lesser degree, to all who have given their devotion to academics, and those who have nourished their hopes and aspirations for ASU through extensive financial support.

Despite 100+ temp climate at ASU chilly

There is a distinctly 'chilly climate' on campus. Privacy and free thought and speech at ASU is actively discouraged by President Crow! "Computer nerds from ASU's Information Technology division have been bullied by both the U.S. Justice department and the Federal Communications Commission into a billion-dollar systems upgrade that permits wiretapping of computer networks at universities nationwide". New Times, R. Pela

STUDENTS!!! THIS along with the outrageous dormitory searches. Doesn't this anger you to strike back for your rights????? GET ACTIVE!!!!!

$850 million in debt for construction yet teaching gains $0

Teaching has been ignored throughout the entire construction boom at ASU. No new classrooms and no new classroom improvements. Tuition has increased 3 times yet no decrease in classroom size to benefit students. The new research space that has been built is virtually empty and producing minimum income. PARENTS, ARE YOU CONCERNED!? YOU SHOULD BE!!

Separation of Church and State???

"We would not be here if it were not for President Michael Crow," words spoken by Elder W. Rolfe Kerr regarding the new LDS church student center at ASU. In addition there is be a large parking garage adjacent to it which is to be used only by LDS students.
